SKIP HIRE

We have 8 wheeled Scania tipper lorries with 20 tonne payload and automatic tailgates for fast and effective bulk haulage of spoil away and materials to or from site.

We also use 15, 20 and 30 yard skips for haulage of all spoils, concrete and other excavated materials with disposal to appropriate licensed facilities.

We can drop these skips for you to load in your own time. So if you are only operating small machinery and have a large amount of spoil to remove from site, you can do so in your own time without incurring expensive waiting time charges when it takes a long time to load a single lorry load.

Tipper lorries.

Our 8 wheeled Scania tipper lorries have 20 tonne payloads, utilising alloy wheels to keep a full payload and automatic tailgates for the quickest tipping times as the driver doesn’t need to leave the cab. You will need at least an 8-10 tonne excavator or above to load these lorries efficiently.

Advantages over smaller skips:
There are obvious advantages of using bigger skips. The economies of scale mean bigger is definitely better where you have the ability or room to use them as a larger payload equals less transport cost per tonne.
Also our skips have large barn doors that swing open to the side with no bar or cross member across the rear of them so you are free to load easily from the rear of the skip at ground level. This means you can drive any site dumper from 1 to 4 tonnes in the back of the skip and offload or you might even be simply pushing a wheelbarrow in!
You can also load these skips with our range of mini high tip dumpers that have lifting skips that allow you to lift the skip and tip the dumper load over the side of the skip easily. You can load the skip from both sides and the rear to make sure you make a full load. Have a look at our plant hire section for info on our self drive hire dumpers. Advantages

Advantages over a grab lorry are that you have a higher payload for the cost so the price per tonne will be lower and also, you do not need to clean up after a grab lorry, as you will be putting the soil straight in the skip and you do not have to tip in another heap somewhere.
Advantages over standard tipper lorry:
If you are a ground worker operating a 1.5, 3 or 5 tonne excavator you will know how difficult it is to load a large tipper lorry as smaller machines do not have sufficient load over height. However with our hookloader, as long as there is sufficient room on site we can drop a skip, and you can load the body on the ground with any mini excavator. We have even loaded them with 3/4 tonne excavators as when on the ground they are not very high at all.
If you have a large amount of material to move from site with a smaller excavator, don’t lose out on the economies of scale just because you are unable to load a large lorry! Don’t risk large charges for vehicle waiting times as you struggle to load them fast enough! Simply let us put our large skip where you can reach it and load it in your own time!
